Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

MoonKart aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is a product requirement, not a checkbox — it is included in design reviews, component libraries, and release checklists.

2. What is in place

• Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks across the admin, builder, and storefronts.
• Full keyboard operability: visible focus rings, skip links, logical tab order, escape-to-close dialogs.
• Color contrast meeting or exceeding 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for UI components.
• Form errors tied to inputs via aria-describedby, with live-region announcements for async status.
• Reduced-motion support — animations disable when the OS requests it.
• Screen-reader testing with VoiceOver and NVDA on primary flows: sign-up, build, publish, checkout.
• Touch targets of at least 44×44 px on storefront themes.

3. Known limitations

• Some AI-generated layouts rely on merchant-uploaded images that may lack alt text — we prompt authors and offer auto-suggested alt text.
• Embedded third-party apps (reviews, chat widgets) are governed by their own accessibility posture.
• Older archived email templates may not meet current contrast targets.

4. Storefront merchants

Merchants are responsible for the content they publish. MoonKart themes ship with accessible defaults, and the builder flags missing alt text, low-contrast combinations, and unlabeled buttons before publishing.
