Cookie Policy

The cookies, local storage, and similar technologies MoonKart uses — and how to control them.

1. What cookies are

Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data saved by your browser or device when you visit a site. They remember your session, preferences, and security signals, and they help us understand how the platform is used.

2. Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary — sign-in sessions, CSRF protection, load-balancing and security cookies operated across our edge network, and cart contents. These cannot be switched off without breaking the Services.
  • Functional — theme choice, language, sidebar state, recently viewed templates, and builder preferences.
  • Analytics — privacy-respecting, aggregated measurements of feature usage and performance. Where required, these load only with your consent.
  • Marketing — campaign attribution links (UTM parameters) and, if you opt in, retargeting pixels on marketing pages.

3. Specific cookies

  • sb-*-auth-token — authenticates your session (up to 7 days).
  • moonkart.theme — remembers light/dark preference (1 year).
  • moonkart.locale — remembers language and region (1 year).
  • __cf_bm / cf_clearance — bot management and DDoS protection (up to 30 minutes).
  • _mk_analytics — pseudonymous usage analytics (13 months, consent-gated).

4. Local storage

We use browser local storage for the builder: your unsaved draft history (undo/redo stack), demo-mode accounts on unreleased features, and UI layout state. Clearing site data in your browser removes these instantly.

5. Your choices

  • Use the cookie banner to accept or reject non-essential categories.
  • Reopen preferences anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
  • Browser controls let you block or delete cookies entirely — note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are honored as an opt-out of non-essential analytics.

6. Third-party cookies

Storefronts you visit on MoonKart may set cookies on behalf of the merchant (for example, embedded reviews or analytics chosen by that merchant). Their policies govern those cookies.

7. Updates and contact

We update this Policy when our cookie usage changes materially. Questions? privacy@moonkart.online.
